CORN, CORN, CORN

LAST NIGHT BEFORE IT GOT DARK WE PICKED OVER 200 EARS OF CORN THAT FINALLY GOT RIPE DUE TO A WEEK OF NICE WARM TEMPERATURES. WE SOLD THEM ALL THIS MORNING IN THE FIRST HOUR OF FARMERS MARKET. IT WAS A GOOD DAY, ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE COME UP WITH SOME CRAZY REGULATIONS! WALLY HAD GOT SOME ONE DOLLAR PIECES OF BANAN SQUASH BECAUSE THEYA RE SO HUGE AND WE BAGGED THEM. NOW THEY SAY WE HAVE TO CUT THEM THERE WITH A WASHING STATION, BUCKET OF BLEACH WATER, KNIFE WASHING WATER, ETC ETC! I TOLD HER OUR KITCHEN IS CLEANER THAN THE BACK OF OUR TRUCK!!!

Scnauzer statue

This turned out kinda dark but this is a little statue of a Schnauzer that my neighbor Nancy gave us for helping out at the fair this year. I had to be quick to snap this because Roxie didn't want to sit there.

Frequent Visitor

This is a doe that passes through here a lot. She has a twin sister that we have watched since earlier this year since they had their spots. The only thing that they ahve bothered in our garden is beet and kohlrabi leaves. I tried to get closer but she ran off.

Finally this blog took the picture. I'll try the other one. This doe is a frequent visitor in our garden. She only nibbles on the kohlrabi leaves as well as beet tops. She has a twin sister that we have been watching since they both had spots early this spring. By the way...can you see the waist high weeds?
