A view again

These arbividas (sp) will soon be pulled out. We originally planted them to hide the junk that the orchardist piles next to our land. Then he decided to put in a "deer" fence to protect his new cherry trees. Our shrubs are right on the property line and he wants them pulled out. To avoid any disagreements, we said okay. Now, any suggestions what we can put there to hide the junk again?

On the Avenue

Steve wanted me to put a picture of our little ice cream parlor in his email but for some reason it wouldn't go on as an attachment so I'm putting it on the blog.

Bye Bye Food Depot

It will be so strange not to have our grocery store here anymore. This will be one of the many empty stores in our town of Okanogan to be sitting empty. Omak is doing well with businesses but not Okanogan. It is sad although I must admit I didn't shop here much because their prices are so high. It was convenient for little stuff.

What a MESS!

Well this is what we found when we went in our rental house next door!!! The first picture is the laundry room right inside the back door. We have some really nice people that are interested in renting the place but I am so afraid for them to see this. These renters said they'll be back Tuesday so we are hoping that this will be taken care of, but I doubt it. This is what it looked like when they were living here but we didn't know it until about a month ago and we knew they were leaving so we didn't say anything. We walked around the outside after they left yesterday and saw the mess outside so decided to be the inside. Not only that but they didn't shovel all the snow off of the deck and it has collapsed. :(

A friend told us that some research has shown that putting a banana peel on a headache will help make it go away. Dad was so desparate, he tried it. Unfortunately, it didn't work. The fruit salad was good though.

Old Fogies

Well it worked. I had to make it a lot smaller (it's an 8x10). Also had to lighten it, somewhat. Grandpa had an appointment at the VA hospital so we went to a mall and played a little first. It was embarrassing though because this was right out in the middle of where people were walking and when we finished we stepped out and saw that people could watch which pose we were picking, etc. Plus there was no sides on this booth. Oh well, we didn't know anybody!

Mama Dog

I put this on to see if there was something wrong with my blog. Dad and I were being silly when we were in Spokane yesterday and had our picture taken in one of those "booths." For some reason the blog won't accept it. I'll keep trying. Poor little Christie, she's in pretty good shape physically but mentally ????

This is the view from our porch this morning. Almost every morning this week we get up and this is what it looks like. Last week, we were almost ready to start our garden. Spring is three weeks away!!!

A Star in Born

Or is it two stars are born. I didn't catch Kelsey in "character."

Cousins

Cute little cousins and more on the way!

One of the reasons I haven't put anything on lately is because when I go to "Browse" to find a picture, I get just squares with "ALBUM" written on it and when I click on them, it just goes away. I am so blogger illiterate! Any suggestions? I can get to some pictures but they are old ones. I know I need to take some new pictures with my digital. I'll try.

Old Photos

I was going through some old photos today and found a couple that some of you maybe haven't seen. This first one, you'll have to enlarge to see Wally sitting on the haystack and Jeanene sitting on an old washtub.

SNOW SNOW SNOW

This is what we were met with when we arrived home from our Christmas vacation in Utah. We haven't had snow like this in years! It is wet and heavy. Guess we won't have a drought next summer. More is predicted.

Help Me!

If you only knew the story behind this picture. This wasn't the first time he got stuck. The first time he was standing up and had it stuck on his bottom.....by the time we got our cameras, he was out. So we had to have him get stuck again!

I didn't get very good pictures of the Utah house but the one below is the living room.

The next two pictures are the Valentine women. One is of the sneaky photograper:)
