It was before her accident but NOT before her stint in the hospital where she went from one disease to another for at least a month - I was to the point of forcibly taking her home but contacted a lawyer who warned me against that and after meeting with the hospital head they released Diane providing I signed a document which would prevent me fron suing the hospital THEN they let her go - as I recall she had chicken pox or something when she got out - The lawyer refused payment so I got her something a civilian could not get in those days - a five pound box of chocolates - afterwards found out the document I signed was worthless because a person cannot sign away the rights of another person - even a minor. Diane had a very serious operation in the hospital - a mastoid operation and Helen and only saw her when they wheeled her into the operating room - during the month + she was confined. this is only part of that story !!

Yes, it was before my accident. My mom curled my hair with rags and almost always put a big bow in it.
