YUKON TERRITORY

This is a Northern Pike that dad caught at Watson Lake. He actually caught a bigger one but threw it back after he tasted this one. He said they aren't that good to eat. Fun to catch though.

Whoa. That's a big one. I've never really been fishing (except at a hatchery). I think it'd be kind of fun and relaxing.

Yes, dad left last Thursday morning with one other guy....each in their own plane. They made it as far as Watson Lake by Saturday. But as usual, the weather turned really bad and they headed back before they'd get stuck there for a long time. This time though, they stayed in a lodge a couple of nights so they didn't rough it, like last year. He had a great time and a little R & R.

Looks like that was a fun one to catch Dad. I have yet to catch my Salmon on the Kalama river.

That sounds like a lot of fun! By the way, I have this cd with some Johnny Cash songs and there's one song in particular that sounds EXACTLY like Grandpa! (even though I've never heard Grandpa sing)! It's the "Come on, Get Rhythm" song if ya know what I'm talking about.

Dad when Brendi listens to her Jonny Cash CD it reminds me of when I was a child--you must have listened to it. And Brendi's right, that one song does sound like you. The kids call it "Grandpa's song"!

HMMM I don't believe I've heard it but then you'll need to sing a few bars for us so we will know what it is!
